Six Flags

Our time with Kado was coming
to an end.  We wanted to spend the
weekend having some fun in
Dallas before we had to take
him back.

Ry tried his skills at the rope
ladder.  He did pretty good!

I love this picture!
Cody and Kade were on
the pirate ship.  I guess
Cody really liked it.

The weather was really HOT!
It was weird though,
we went on 4th of July
weekend, but there was
hardly NO lines.
Of all the times I have
been there during the summer,
this was a first.
It was the perfect time to go!

Rylee also found a new
favorite ride - The Log Ride

And I am sad to say, but my
very last baby boy was tall
enough for the big rides!
We hardly spent any time in
Looney Toon Land.   :(
The Shock Wave was his very
first big roller coaster.
He LOVED the double loops!

Of course before we left Dallas
we had to stop by the Rainforest Cafe!
We love eating there.  We surprised the
boys with a Volcano this time.
It was so yummy!
and big enough for 7 of us
to share!

We also took some time to do
 a little school clothes shopping.
On our way out Cody and Ry
spotted these giant bubbles.
You get in them and walk
around in this big pool
of water that is about a foot
deep.  Not as easy as it sounds!
But it was so funny to watch them.

We also marked a couple
things off of our
Cherne Family Bucket List!

#9 - Go to Six Flags

On the way home we
stopped by a roadside fruit stand
and marked of #55.

Landree

Tab and Landree came
down for a little visit.
The boys were dying to
swim with Landree!

He loved "jumping" off
of the platform.

After we tired the boys out
from swimming we settled in
for some Legos and Buzz Lightyear.

We also marked off
#29 Visit the Zoo
while they were in town!

Summer Bucket List

We have managed to mark
off a few more things
from our Bucket List!

#10 - Finish the summer Reading Club

# 12 - Play at the Park

#16 - Swim at the WT Pool

#30 - Have a Family Game Night

#57 - Have a Harry Potter Marathon

We are working hard and having
so much fun trying to get
everything marked off the list!

The 4th

Happy 4th of July!
The 4th of July is my most
favorite holiday!
I love everything about it!

{Cooking out with the family,
Fireworks, Summer Time}

I didn't decide to decorate for the
4th until about a week before.
Oh well.  KC and I worked on
this American flag, and I love
the way it came out!

We were super excited to buy
fireworks this year.  Last year
was sooo dry here, that they
didn't even allow people
to pop them or sell them.
That was the only time I can
ever remember not having
fireworks on the 4th of July.

We had some more water balloons,
and thought this would be a great
day to fill them up.

Once again it was
kids VS adults

 Kade nailed me really good
with one right in the ribs
when I wasn't looking.
Ouch!
So I held him down and
busted one right on his
head.  Luckily Nana
caught it on camera.

We didn't go crazy on fireworks.
Our normal is Sparklers, Snakes,
Smoke Bombs, and Poppers.
Then KC always sneaks in
Black Cats and loud stuff
that scares everyone.
 Go figure.

The boys really got into lighting them
and blowing things up this year.
Just Great!

The Chicken is my favorite!

This is where they were
trying out Smoke Bombs
in water.  Why?
Who knows!
Apparently because
that's what little boys
are supposed to do.

A big church right by our
house ended up having a big
firework show that night.
Perfect!
We got to enjoy the show right from
our roof top.  No fighting traffic to
get home afterwords either.  :)

We also marked Pop Fireworks
off our Bucket List!
