Our Family Vacation

This year we decided to take

our family vacation during

the boys spring break.

We headed to the lovely town

of Roswell, NM and spent a couple

of days in the camper with KC.

KC had to work Monday

and Tuesday, so we got to

have lunch with him at work.

Roswell is all about the aliens!

Everywhere you look

you see an alien.

Rylee was in heaven,

because he loves aliens!

I think deep down inside he

really believes they exist.

They even have a whole museum

about nothing but alien stuff.

The aliens even landed at 

McDonalds!

 We took some time out from

all the alien stuff and headed

to a small lake they have.

The boys LOVE to skip

rocks with their dad.

 

After 2 days we were ready to

head to the mountains!

We let the boys pick where

we spent our family vacation

this year.  They decided on

skiing.  So we picked 

Ruidoso since it was so 

close to KC's work.  Yay!!!

My boys are hiking freaks!

They love to hike.

The boys went in to town to

do some "Boy Stuff"

Mini Golf and Go-Carts.

Kade is always the best 

grocery shopper.  He helped

me do all the shopping and

his most favorite thing is to

help me put the groceries away.

When we have him that's 

always his job.  I love

the help!  KC also taught him

how to cook burgers.  He was

very proud of himself.

 Our Cabin was more like a Condo.

We kinda wanted more of the mountain

cabin feel, but Oh-Well ---

We made the best of it.

 

We had a hot tub on our porch.

We loved that!!!

The mountains were so beautiful!

We love being there.  I don't know why

it always takes us so long to go back.

 On one of our hikes we came

across a herd of wild horses.

They were so beautiful!

The boys decided to go tubing

instead of skiing.  I am so glad

we did.  They all LOVED it!

We all had a great time.

Trip to Dallas

We headed to Dallas for the

Monster Supercross at 

Cowboys Stadium last weekend.

We were all super excited.

I got out voted on where to

eat for our Valentine's Day dinner.

Hooters it was!

Good think I love their

Hot Shrimp and Pickles.

 The day of the Supercross it

was sooo rainy.  We still kept

going though.  We wanted to

try to see all we could in the

pit party.

This was the only Monster Girl 

braving the rain and KC didn't

get a focused picture.  :(

We had our big umbrella, 

but we were still getting  so

wet.  KC finally found some trash

bags and the boys wore those.

Cody wanted his picture by the

"Captain America" bike.

We were excited to get these

autographs because Trey Canard 

is the one who actually won last

years race when we came. 

KC told the boys that if they

could pick the top 3 finishes

out of the main race then he 

would give them 100 bucks!

They thought long and hard

about who they were going

to pick.

All 4 of us had Chad Reed

finishing in the top 3.  When

he got hurt in the main race, we 

all were out on the 100 bucks.   :(

Ryan Villopoto!

Rylee's Pinewood Derby

On Saturday Rylee participated

in his first pinewood derby.

KC worked very hard at

putting Ry's car together.

It was a little more involved 

then I thought it would be.

 He decided to name his car

"The Green Machine"

 Rylee place 2nd twice

and 4th in the last race.

Yay!  Way to go Ry!

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We really didn't do much

this year.  KC is never home

any more for the actual

February 14th.  So we just

do a dinner or something 

on the weekend.  He makes

me feel like a princess all the

other days of the year, so 

Valentine's Day really isn't

a big deal.  I did get flowers

though.  

And this is my handsome Valentine!

Rocking his heart socks that

I bought for him.   :)

 Rylee had a great time at his

Valentine's Day Party!

We made Play Doh kits.

Each kid can take them home

and make their own Play Doh.

Rylee and Mrs. Q

He LOVES this teacher

and is doing sooo much better

this year because of her.

I am very thankful for her.

 

Super Bowl Sunday

The Giants VS. The Patriots

We were ready to kick off

another super bowl Sunday!

We really didn't have a favorite

team this year.  Cody decided to

go with the Giants, because that 

is who Grandpa was going for.

{he said Grandpa knows

everything about football}

Rylee decided to go for the

Patriots.  I think mostly because

everyone else was going for the 

Giants.  I decided to cheer with

him and go for the Patriots too.

Rylee helped me decide what

goodies to make for our football

snacks.  He decided on:

Chicken

Potato Skins

Chips & Dip

{but it had to be the chips

with the red & blue dots!

AKA Ranch Doritos}

Veggie Tray

Everything was so yummy!

KC makes the best marinades.

He did 4 different kinds of chicken.

So Yummy!!!

 We did football squares

and everyone put in a dollar

a quarter.  I won the first 2

quarters and Cody won on the

last 2 quarters.  He was so excited!

Good thing we didn't bet

on winners.  Rylee and I

would have lost.  :)

Weekend with Tab & Jason

Tab, Jason, and Lando

came down for a visit.

We had a yummy family

dinner out at Tim & Vickie's.

Cody kept battling  everyone

in rock*paper*scissors.

 Saturday we hung out and

the boys shot some BB guns.

 We headed to Kabuki after

Lando woke up from his nap.

We were so excited to go.

I think this is everyone's

favorite place to eat.
