Red River pt 1

We just couldn't let October go by
without going to Red River!
We tried.  Really!  We kinda did.

We just love it too much to
stay away for that long.

Friday's weather was chilly!
Not going to stop us!
We bundled up and headed
for the trails.  The leaves
are just so gorgeous!
So bright and Orange and Yellow.
Beautiful!

We started seeing snow about
half way up.  Fall and Christmas
all rolled into one!

It was actually still snowing when
we made it to the top of  Greenie Peak.
You could look out an couldn't see
anything but fog.
Still gorgeous though.

We also rode Goose Lake.
This is what the beginning
looked like.

The little 2 wimped out
and stayed at the cabin.
More fun for us!

This trail was snow covered.
And Beautiful!

This is what the end looked like.
Completely different!
Cold. Foggy. Amazing!

After riding the boys got to
experience Oktoberfest.

Red River pt 2

Today was all about
beautiful weather and new trails!
I can't even tell you how beautiful
everything looked.  Gorgeous Day!

These two trying to figure out
the map.  We might be in trouble!

We have always been told not
to do the 4th of July Canyon.
Too rough and too rocky.
We tried it for the first time.
LOVED it!  Great new riding
and the views were amazing!

For sure one of our new
favorites!

Greenie Peak
looked a whole lot different
the second day!

Cody drove us home.
This kid is getting better
and better every time he drives.

Chilly evening by the campfire.
Um yes!

We decided to do something
else we've never done...
Night Riding. In the Woods.
On the Dark Trails. With only the
stars and headlights to guide us.
And let me tell you! if you turn those
headlights off it is PITCH black.
Which KC did.  While we were
driving.  In the middle of a
spot surrounded by trees and
I'm sure creepy scary forest things!
It was scary!

It was a great trip!

This and That

Fall is my most favorite time
of the year!

The boys wanted to go all out
and do a little more Halloween decorating.

We made these apothecary potions.
It was a lot of fun trying to decide what
we were doing to be creating.
I love them and think they turned
out really great.

I finally made some time to make
myself a sign.  I love it!

Grocery shopping for our Red River
trip.  We always seem to eat better
when we go out of town.

That sushi!
mmmmmmm...
It's some of my favorite!

This girl has been in one
crazy weenie mood.

We are still getting lots of
baby cherry tomatoes.

Still so nice to pick them
fresh from the vine for our salads.

Pups and sunshine!

Washing this baby before we
take it to the mountains.
That makes sense I guess.

Rylee's 12th Birthday

Cookie Cake. Snacks. Friends.
That's all this little boy wanted for
his birthday party.

Birthday spankings from his
Papa - not so much.  :)

A little friendly Go-Cart racing.

Maybe not the best birthday present,
but certainly the most unique.
The boys had a lot of fun with it.

Hot Chocolate Bar
for breakfast.
Rylee picked out everything.
Sprinkles. Caramels. Marshmallows.
Peppermints. Floating Eyeball Candies.

That boy cracks me up!

And giant
cinnamon rolls.

After a crazy little boy filled night...

a lazy family movie day was a must!

Except for this little boy!
4:30am with the buddies was
too late for him.
