Albuquerque

We hit the road and headed
to see KC's family for the weekend.

The weather was stormy
and we drove through the
most amazing lightening storm.

My Snookem made me a
breakfast waffle.  I love him!

These boys are ready for summer
and to get our pool up!

They swam for hours!

Saturday after a lunch for KC's sister
we thought we would check out
the horse races.  We have only
been to a few races and are no experts
on this stuff.  We gave each of the
boys ten bucks to place on the
horses of their choice.

Rylee was the big winner!
He would pick his horse and
win almost every single time.
I think he only lost one race.

It takes great discussion and
concentration to pick the perfect horse.

Rylee liked going with KC to
place the bets.

Sunday we woke up early
and headed to the Albuquerque Zoo.
It's one of our favorite things to do
when we visit.

The peacocks were feisty little things!
This one had his feathers out almost the
whole time we were eating lunch.

KC started feeding them popcorn
and they would eat right out
of your hand.

The tiger was showing off for
us.  He was very friendly.
Through the glass anyway.

Cousins!

Kade and Cody did a little
Zip Lining.  They loved it!

After the zoo we went to Bela's
ballet recital.  It was so cute!

We stopped on the way home to take
a few pictures with the gorgeous sunset.

I love my boys!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hand made cards and little gifts
from my baby.  I will never get
tired of these.

Pretties for Mother's Day!

KC worked hard this weekend
on our bathroom re do.
It's coming along.  I cant wait to
get it done and see it all finished!

Gift #2 from my baby for
Mother's Day was a ride in the razor.
He has been dying to take me
and he said today was the perfect day!

He's such a good driver!
I trust him completely!

Dad tagged along with us on
his 4 wheeler.

Just a low key sitting on the porch
afternoon noon with my little Ry.
That's more his style.

Sushi Salad and turtle cheesecake
for my Mother's Day dinner!

It's The Weekend!

I got a call from this sweet
boy with some garden questions.
  His sweet little
voice just makes you smile.

Back in February when I asked
him what he wanted for his birthday
he said he wanted stuff to make
his own garden.  I asked him
what he wanted to plant and he
said Radishes!  So I got him
all the goodies to start his
own little garden.

Now it's a few months later
and my sister sent me these pics.
Here he is holding his very first radish!

Maybe he got his green thumb
from his Aunt Kish.  Or maybe
he can teach me some pointers.
My stuff isn't growing near as good
as his.  It must be that South Texas weather.

I also got pictures of this beautiful girl
ready to see her Minnie Mouse at
Disney On Ice.  She will be my Disney
loving girl just like her Aunt Kish.
I think it's time for a Nettles Cherne
Disney World trip!

Friday I picked up Ry early from
school.  The weather was rainy and
cool and it was just his thing.  So we
picked up Chinese food and went home
to snuggle up and watch some movies.

Just don't tell Kade or Cody.
It's a secret!

The grouchy neighbor across the alley
has honeysuckle growing through
his fence.  I took the trash out and it
smelt so good!  Honeysuckle
reminds me of growing up.
My grandmother had it and we had
it at the house I grew up in.
I love the smell!

A working Saturday selfie
from my Snookem.

The steam coming off of the fence
and trampoline after the rain.
I thought that was really neat.

We had lake cleanup for Scouts but
it rained so much that they
canceled it.  I didn't check my
email before we left though.
We were already there
so we did a lap and picked up trash
that was close to the sidewalk.

Some of the fields were so flooded
that the ducks were swimming
there instead of the lake!
