A New Week

This note was left for KC to find.
It melts my heart!

We've had to make a few tough
decisions about Kade here lately.
Things just were not working out
with him living here.  Not really sure
where things went wrong,
but clearly being here is not the right
choice for him anymore.

We tried everything we knew to do.
It's impossible to help someone that
won't put in any effort to help
themselves though.  So Kade moved
back to his moms this week.
Cody must have overheard
one of our conversations and
he wrote this note for KC.
He's pretty sweet.

We said goodbye to KC's four wheeler
this weekend.  We were soooo sad to
see it go.  KC actually made the choice
all on his own.  Decided he was getting too
old to zoom around on it any more
and it needed to go.  Plus with the RZR
we just don't ride it all that often.
I will miss it!  Because of that thing
we found our love for the mountains
and ridding!  Many good times
were had with that thing.

I mentioned to KC that I would like a
bookshelf for all the books I have
hiding in my closet...

and then boom!

He built me one!
I love it so much!
I can't wait to fill it with all
of my favorite books!

These two are the biggest nerds!

Snuggles!

More driving practice for
this kid.

Cody wanted to give it a go
too this time.

They both did pretty good

Week In Review

Tax time. Yuck!
Cody made me a key to
his heart to cheer me up.
He's so sweet!

My dogs are weird.

I cleaned up the Butterfly
studio.  It's so clean and looks
so good!  Makes working in
there all day a whole lot easier.

We just finished a big custom
order for a local restaurant.
We actually met them in
Red River at Oktoberfest.
They were so nice to work with.

Beautiful girl

I was brushing Copper the other day
and I noticed this heart on his neck.
Never seen it before, but there
it was.  He's not my most favorite
dog - but I love the heart!

Cody put in some hard
work to get his new basketball
goal up.

KC might have helped
a bit.

When me and Tab were little
writing our name and doing
our handprints in any cement
project dad was working on
was always our favorite.

So when we did the goal
poll we did Cody's and both
of the weenie girls.
They hated it.

Super Bowl Sunday!

Mom and dad made the most
delicious foodand we went
over to watch the game.

bingo and root beer floats!

The game was a bit
stressful for booter!
He was really cheering
for those Falcons.

Short Long Week

I spy a weenie nose

Rylee had set his mind to
solving Einstein's Riddle.
and by golly he did it!
It took him a few hours
but the boy was relentless!
So proud of him!!

KC is working in Perryton this
week on the aftermath from the
big ice storm.  Even over night.
I don't know how we were doing
this every week for years and years.
I miss him!  The boys miss him!
We've been having some problems
with Kade and of course this
is the week stuff really starts
hitting the fan.  He just needs
to come home and stay home!

I sat by my tree and watched
supercross and drank a Dr Pepper
to calm down and relax.

and I snuggled this girl.
or she snuggled me.

KC and Ry spend at least an
hour every Sunday alone
together.  Sometimes playing
chess.  Sometimes getting ice cream.
Sometimes practicing driving.
These two but heads so
much because they are exactly alike!
The alone time helps.

Red River and Skiing

Turning the curve and seeing the
small little town all lit up
is my favorite part!

We drove in a day early so
KC could drop me off in
Red River and then they
could go to Angel Fire for the
Boy Scout ski trip.

Still lots of snow!

We tried to play some Frisbee
Golf in the park.  The snow was
a little too deep.

I think we made it through 6 holes
and called it a game.

and then the boys wrestled in
the snow and had a snowball fight.

My new camper sign!
I love it so much!

We took the little dogs and Cops
stayed with mom and dad.
Mom sent me this pic of him.

When the boys left I did
whatever I wanted!
Meal planned and binged
on Game of Thrones.

and took the dogs on
lots of walks in the snow

It snowed almost all weekend

I loved it!
The dogs loved it too!

Especially Marley!
He scamped so hard.

When the boys ski weekend was
over we stayed an extra day in
Red River.  That meant missing
the Cowboys playoff game.
We face timed with dad and he
held his phone to the tv and
gave us a play by play.

Hey!  It worked!

Here's pics from the boys
ski trip.
