Destin Day 2

It's our last day in Destin.
We decided to spend one last morning
at the beach since it's been pretty rainy.

The boys loved swimming
and playing in the ocean.

When this storm started heading right
towards us they closed the beach.

We took advice from some friends
and ate lunch at this place
before heading out.

It was right on a pier
over the water.

and more rain for our ride to
Orlando.  The fresh Key Lime pie
made it a little better.

Welcome to Orlando

Our Drive to Orlando was a bit
rainy to say the least.

It pretty much rained the whole drive.

We spent our first full day
exploring Disney Springs.
In the rain.  I didn't mind the rain
so much because it kept the hot
temps down.  And I just love a
good rainy day.

We had the most amazing lunch
at Planet Hollywood.
The dessert was very interesting.

The picture below was taken
in this same spot 7 years ago.
I think they've grown a little.

This is the face you make when
you spend all day walking and then
stay up late watching the NBA finals
AND THEN your dad scares you while
your sleeping.

Blizzard Beach

The boys spent today at Blizzard Beach.
I stayed and lounged at the hotel
because I am not a big waterpark person.

They came back with lots of
stories to tell me so I know
they had a great time.

The Animal Kingdom

When dads excited to get up
and head to the park and Cody is NOT.

We finally got to see the tree of life.
I've been to Disney 3 times and we never
made it to Animal Kingdom.
I was really excited to finally see
it.  The tree was huge and so beautiful!

Russell from Up

The Pandora section from the movie
Avatar just opened 2 weeks ago.
We were very excited to explore it.
It was soooo beautiful.  The decorations
and plants and water falls.  It all looked so real.

It had 2 rides in that section
and they were amazing!
Probably everyone's favorite
section of the whole park.

The boys tackled the
Everest coaster.  Cody was
scared at first but when he was
done he wanted to ride it again.

They had an Asia section in
the park.  Rylee loved it.

The raft ride was another
family favorite.

This dinosaur ride however
WAS NOT!

It was mostly in the dark and it was so loud.
I don't think Rylee has ever squeezed my
hand that hard!  Through the whole ride!
