The boys did so awesome this year!
I am so very proud of them.

During the boys last week of school
I was hanging out with these cuties.

Lando had his tonsils out and
I went down to help out.

And you can't kick off the summer
without some swimming.

I came home to
lots of new blooms.

Strawberry buds...

Lots of new carrot sprouts!

Our first strawberry!

These two have our okra.
They sprouted super quick!

A Rainy Memorial Day Weekend

Rain in the forecast everyday for our
4 day Memorial Day Weekend!

Yes, please!!!
I love rainy gloomy weather.
I would rather have that than
hot dry Texas heat any day.

The boys loved looking every morning
to see what new things have sprouted.

Our gardens loved the rain.
Like a lot!
Lots of new sprouts.

We have our first strawberry!

No kids - No husband
Just me - my book - and a thunderstorm!

Some of us wanted to snuggle the weekend
away.  I won't name any names.

There was lots of umbrella playing.

Cops will chase the ball
rain or shine.

Early morning coffee on a rainy
morning just tastes better!

Birthday dinner with Kade.
Happy 13th Birthday!
He requested the usual...
crab boil, but I just didn't have it
in me this year.  We headed
to Red Lobster instead.
There was no complaints.

This kid loves crab legs!
Even with all the work it takes
just to get a little bit of crab meat.

A little Red Lobster silliness!

Boys spent the night with Nana and Gramps,
so we had games and grown up
drinks with the besties.
Lots of grown up drinks!

Everything tastes better in a coconut!

With one week of school left,
we had to get our pool up!

We had lots of helpers!

Rylee was in charge of building the
ladder.  Use it at your own risk.

Kade and Cody just couldn't wait
to dive in.  Like literally - Could - Not - Wait!
Tons of gallons straight from the hose
with NO warm up time.

Um - yeah - COLD!

I love this face of Kade's!
He lasted just long enough for these
pics.  He was out of there!

We ended our weekend with the
most yummiest dinner!
Steaks on the grill
Tot Casserole
Nice big salad!

It was so good!

Watermelon Love

It was 94 degrees today when
the boys got out of school.
I think they thought they were
going to die of heat stroke!

Watermelon was requested!

AND it turns out that our 3 favorite
pups are watermelon lovers too!

Finally planting time

I finally got to do my planting!

I think I might have
went a little overboard.
BUT
I love them!

I spy a bad dog behind my hydrangeas
that doesn't think I can see him.

I've said it a million
and one times now!

Johnny Jump Ups
are my most favorite to plant!

We also added some other things
in addition to our bigger main
veggie garden.

The red pot has carrot seeds.
We are super excited for these.

Lots and Lots of
strawberries!

Our main veggie garden has:
4 tomato plants
6 pepper plants
2 different kinds
of cucumber seeds

The two lower planters have
two different kinds of orkra
seeds in them.  I had to search
high and low for those dang seeds!

I found a box garden similar to this
one and had KC give it a try.  Of course
it came out perfect.  I only wish we would have
made more.  Don't tell him I said that.
He wouldn't agree.

Geraniums are some of my favorites just
because they are so easy to care for.
And I like that they bloom all season.

This was my first year planting Dahlias.
They looked so pretty in the nursery that
I couldn't pass them up.
