Just Me and Cody

It's Scout Camp week!
That means it is just me and Cody
ALL WEEK LONG!

The first night we stayed up until 3:30
in the morning painting.  He painted flying
weenie dogs while I did butterfly work.

His masterpieces!

We even took a day to head out to
see the new Jurassic World movie.
But FIRST he had a craving for
On The Border fajitas.

Oh and we FOR SURE had to have
a day of JAWS!  Cody's favorite!
It's tradition!

Cody also LOVES peaches!
I thought we would spend one day
taking a little road trip.  We headed to
a little fruit stand a little over an hour
away for the best fresh peaches.
We took the dogs and planned on
heading to a near by lake afterwards
to let them run around
things didn't work out so well though.
There was goat head stickers EVERYWHERE!
And lots of signs that said No Dogs.
Bummer!

We decided to head home and take
the dogs to run and play at the river.

They of course loved it!

She's giving me the evil eye after
I gave her a bath from all her river play.
She's a brat!

And just like that our time was over.
This week was ALL about Cody!
I know he loved every minute of it
almost as much as I did.

Scout Camp Part 2

and of course there were fun and games!

and craziness!

We got them some goodies and made
them some cards for a welcome home.

KC posted this on his instagram
and it made me so proud of him!
I am so glad that the boys have him
for a dad.  He is amazing!
He was put on this earth to
be my boys dad!  I couldn't have
picked a better one.

Scout Camp Part 1

My handsome boys are heading of
to scout camp.  Thankfully KC was able
to sign up through a volunteer program
at his work and spend the whole week
there with Ry.  Thank goodness!
It made things sooo much easier
and all the boys in Ry's patrol
loved having him there.

Loading the trailer
and saying goodbyes

and of course goofing around

Ry did AMAZING on his
archery merit badge.

He was the talk of the camp.

KC made sun tea for all the leaders.
He had to send me a picture.
He was so proud of himself.

On the third night of camp
Rylee's patrol signed up to do
the Wilderness Survival merit badge.
You basically go out in a part of camp
that is secluded with nothing but
the clothes on your back and you have
to spend the night.  KC made the boys
these "belts" so they could at least
have some rope to help build them
a little shelter.  Smart thinking!

I was not wanting Rylee to do this!
He was excited though.
He called me before they headed out
to talk to me one last time just in case
he got carried off by wolves.
That kid!

Then KC sent all the parents this little
joke he made!  Not funny.
Ok ~ a little funny.

He snuck over and checked on
them a few times that night.
He said they did great making their
little shelter and they didn't have any
problems at all.  He was very proud
of them.

Garden Update ~ 9 weeks

My garden is looking pretty good!
I am super proud of myself.
All of my plants I started from
seed and they have not disappointed.

Lots of peppers getting ready
for picking.

and lots of tiny cherry tomatoes.
I see a lot of salad and sushi
on our date ish night dinners.

No tomatillos yet.
It's big and looking nice and
healthy with lots of yellow
blooms though.

Tomatoes on the window seal just
says summer to me.

Marigold plants with my
tomato plants are coming in strong.

Lettuce and Green Onions
in my little swimming gardens.
I am very happy with how these
gardens are coming up.  I was worried
for a while.

Watermelon and Cantaloupe!
I'm really excited for these.
Never planted either one before
so it will be interesting.

And here is our weeds...
I mean carrots.  This one is a bit
neglected.  The big dog always
chooses to poop right by and sometimes
even in this one.  It's gross.  We are working
on a gate to gate this area off.
Until then, I am just letting everything grow
in here.
