Codys party

Finally we are having Cody's
birthday party with his friends.

He wanted to swim and have corndogs.
That was his only requests.
I can certainly do that!

Isn't he so handsome!

Random Stuff

Ry heading off to school.

The sunrises have been
AMAZING lately!

and then selfies from a little boy
who can't leave my phone alone

I still have my tree up.
I'm just not ready for it to come
down yet.  Soon, but not now.

We have been having THE WORST
time getting the boys to do pretty much
anything around here.  We had a couple
of rough days while they were getting
a reality check!  Then I saw this and thought
yup!  That's exactly it!

Kade had to write and follow a recipe
for his English homework.  Of course it was
a Oh yeah, I have to do this tonight
because it's due tomorrow kinda thing.
So we ran out at 7 o'clock that night and
bought what he needed and then he made
cookies.  We leave for school the next
morning and get half way to Cody's
school and Kade says "um, are we heading
to school?  I forgot my cookies."
Crazy Kid!!

Seriously
can't get a serious picture
for nothing!

KC and I went on a real date!
Yes, we have date ish night every
Wednesday.  This time we got dressed
up and I curled my hair and we went
to dinner and a movie.  It was nice.

The boys had their annual Scout
ski trip in Angel Fire also.

and while they were taking a break
from the slopes look who
they ran into!

Red River Ski - Part 2

Day Two --
Kade had to sit this day out because
of some problems with his grades.

That didn't stop the rest of them though!

Here's another example of how
cold it is in the mountains in December...

feet coming out of
your rented snow boots at the
end of the day means steam coming
off of your feet!

Red River ~ part 1

Heading to Red River for one last
trip this year.  The boys are dying to ski!

We left early one morning and about
when we started seeing the mountains on
the horizon we saw this...
not snow - it's lots and lots of ice!

There is nothing like all the happiness
when everyone gets out of the truck
for the first time!  Even the dogs.
There was lots and lots of snow this time.

Our first day we just hung out.
We went to a little sled hill and
the boys did some sledding.

So gorgeous!
I love Red River with all
the snow.

KC and I snuck out for a lunch date.
Little did we know that there was
soon to be an OU bowl game on and everyone
would be coming to watch!  Yuck!
We ate and got the heck out of there.

We played lots of board games while
we were there.  Especially on
New Years Eve.

It turns out it is really really cold
in the mountains in December!

Like really really cold!
We had heaters and blankets
and every window covered up tight!

Even the pups were snuggled
up deep in all the covers.

KC had a great idea to start the
new year off on the right foot.
Ha!  Isn't he soooo funny!

and that was a wrap for 2015

The ball dropped and we headed to
bed so the boys would be some
what rested for another day
of skiing tomorrow.
