Happy Father's Day!

We spent our father's day

having a pic-nic in the park.

The weather was warm and

breezy.  Perfect day to be

at the park and feed the ducks.

The ducks were very hungry!

Rylee kept feeding a HUGE swan.

That thing was easily as big

as a large dog!  It was crazy.

When we got back home

we grilled out some steaks

and shot BB guns.

I think my wonderful hubby

had a pretty great day!

Playin at the River

We spent all of Saturday playin

at the river.  The weather was perfect.

The boys had a ton of fun

swimming and running in the river.

They were a muddy mess by the

time we were getting ready to leave!

Copper LOVED running 

through the river!

He was being so crazy

chasing the boys.

 It was so green and so very

pretty this time.  Definitely the 

prettiest I have seen it.

And this was another thing we

got to check off of our

Cherne Family Summer Bucket List!

#41 - Spend A Day At The River

Some Swimming

The best part of summer

is relaxing in the pool!

Kade stole my chair and 

did a little relaxing of his own.

This weekend we did lots of swimming.

The boys love the new addition to

the pool -- The Swinging Rope!

I think it is their favorite way

to get into the pool now.

Another thing they love to do

is have contests on best tricks 

or jumps into the pool.

This is Kade's Superman jump.

This was Cody's Iron Man

And of course dad had to try.

His was the seat grab.

Rylee decided on trying 

to do the dolphin.

This was supposed to be a belly

flop, but I think he got scared

and tried to brace himself.

And Cody thinks he is the perfect

diver!  He is pretty good.

Then daddy messed up on lots of

tricks accidentally on purpose.

So there was a lot of splashing the boys.

Yay for SUMMER!

And YAY for SWIMMING!

It keeps the boys entertained

and we don't even have to leave

the house.   :)

We went ahead and marked of 

swim from our bucket list.

The Discovery Center

The boys had a boy day on Sunday.

They all went to play around at

The Discovery Center.

The boys love to go here!

We have a yearly pass, 

so we go often.

Plus this was another thing
marked off the 
summer bucket list.

Cody is super excited about the 

ROBOTS exhibit they are going

to have next month.

They had a great time getting

out with their daddy and just

being crazy boys.   :)

Happy Birthday!

Dad and Maw-Maw celebrated
their 128th birthday this weekend!
We got together and cooked out,
played washers and golf, and
enjoyed some yummy cake and ice cream.

The boys were trying to tell Maw-Maw

some riddles, so she started telling 

them some.  They are still puzzled by

the Silly Willy Nilly one.

Granny made her first public appearance

since her surgery.  She is still in some 

pain, but looks a million times better.

It was great seeing her up and around.
