More Catching Up

Well the garden season is
coming to an end.
I have pulled all my tomato
and pepper plants.  I was going
to pull my watermelon plants
because they never did anything.
Then I saw this little guy!
I am sure it's probably too late in
the season for it to grow full size
but now I know to plant them earlier.

We've had lots of little
cantaloupes!   Some break off
the vine before they grow very big.
They are all ripe and sooo very
sweet though.  So delicious!

and Rylee's favorite part...
picking the carrots.

We got carrots of all shapes
and sizes this year.

New Monday morning traditions...

Kade and Rylee have late school starts
on Mondays so now we stop for
hot chocolate and donuts.

Cody had his Donuts for Dads
and the book fair at
school this week.

Any surprise that he chose
history type books from the
book fair.  No, not at all.

Hit the tennis ball jackpot
at a garage sale.  Copper
was in heaven!

A little birdie told us that Target
had weenie dog skeletons for
Halloween!  We put our shoes on
and went right away!
No makeup and No hairbrush necessary
when there are weenie dogs involved.

Popcorn selling has become our
weekends.  Every weekend.
With 3 boys and a Snookem
having two camps each to go to
this summer we need to sell lots
of popcorn!

Sometimes Kade gets distracted
and puts old flat dead fish in his
pockets because he thinks I will
like them.

I don't know why.

We took a break and headed
to let the dogs run and
play some football at the park.

The weather was gorgeous!

KC dared each boy to drink the
yucky dog water.
They all 3 drank it.
Gross!

KC's Birthday

Another birthday for my Snookem.
Lucky number 36!

Even on his birthday
he still loves me the most.
I think I'll keep him.

We celebrated with our usual
friends and dinner at home.
He actually didn't request
chicken fried steak!
He wanted grilled steak
with a nice big salad and corn casserole.
And coconut cake...
always coconut cake.

Happy Birthday Babe!!

Austin Road Trip

Our road trip to Austin started
with a detour to Guymon, OK
for a couple of days in the camper.

We passed through one of the towns
KC grew up in and he decided to
check out his old house.
Is it crazy that it sat on the
corner of Goodnight and Comanche
and we as a married couple
have owned a house on Goodnight
and a house on Comanche in
a completely different town.
I think that is pretty crazy.

We spent 2 days just
hanging out in the camper.
AND IT WAS WONDERFUL!
Lazy nothing to do days.
We watched lots of  Netflix
and ordered in sushi several times.

It made for a longer trip to Austin
but it was my favorite part of
the whole trip!

Before we headed to Austin
KC got a few lottery tickets
and I won 50 BUCKS!
I never win.  Never.
Not even a dollar!
This was a great day!!!

We also stopped at a farm stand.
along the way.  Oh My Gosh!
The peaches and cantaloupes
were to die for!!

Lando took us to the duck
pond our first morning there.
He taught KC some fishing tricks.

The second day we got out
to explore the town on our own.
We thought it was only right
that we stop by to see the capital.

It was a lot bigger than I thought
it would be and so gorgeous.
The park it sat in was nice too.
Lots of big green trees.

Cody would love all the statues!
We will have to bring the boys
by next time.

We searched this crazy town
for the place I wanted to eat lunch
at.  It ended up being closed
for construction once we got
there so we continued our search.

This sign made me laugh!

We ended up at Lanberts BBQ
when a friend suggested it.
It was so yummy!

We got lost in some downtown
shopping by our restaurant.
We found the greatest little small
town toy shop!
Even marked off several
Christmas presents.

And then just like that we were
back home.

And this girl missed her dad.

After Back To School Catch Up

Still enjoying lots of my pretty
flowers.  Coffee out on the
porch in the morning has
become my favorite!

School started and to me
THAT MEANS IT'S FALL!
I decorated all the things!

New school year...
same history obsession!

These little guys are so excited
school started back up
because now they get to go again.

My tomatoes are dying out.
Bummer!
But my marigolds are still
going strong.

The boys will search for every last
tomato to pack in their school lunches.

Boys were grounded from electronics
and the only way they could watch
anything was to watch whatever
I wanted to watch.
Princess movies all day!!!

Morning selfies from my snook!

Waiting after school for Kado
and they decide to read.
Love That!!
