This Week

 

I finally finished our Red River shelf.

KC got out of the house to see a

concert with some friends this week.

We have a BIG craft show coming up

soon!  I am really excited!  I have 544

signs on my cut list.  We've got a lot

of work ahead of us.

and new books for a bookshelf I am

hoping to talk KC into building for me.

Austin, Texas

We headed to Austin to

spend our long weekend with

Tab Jason and the kiddos.

 

Saturday morning we started

out with a basketball

game for Landree.

 

Cody was so excited to

watch him play.

maybe a little jealous too.

 

After the game we went to

spend the afternoon at

a state park right outside

of Austin.

The weather was gorgeous!

Hot - almost 90!

In February!

but gorgeous!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the park we

showered and then headed

to eat at an Austin BBQ

place called Salt Lick.

This is how they cooked

their meat.  It was really good.

This little girl is the

cutest thing I've ever seen.

On Sunday we played outside

and just hung out before we

had to go.  Rylee taught Lando

a few things about bow shooting.

 

We stopped by downtown

on our way out of town.

I wanted to show the boys

a few places we found last time

we were here.

Jason told us about this

hot dog place.  We knew it was

meant to be when we walked

in and saw the giant weenie dog 

on the wall.  It's the logo of a real

brewery too.  We added it to our

traveling bucket list.  Can't pass up

anything related to weenie dogs!

We had so much fun exploring

the city.  I love that the boys

are older now and we can

do more grown up things

with them.  They are pretty fun.

 

We also stopped by the

capital.  I knew Cody would

love it and it checks off

a part of a merit badge they

are working on.  Win Win.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a great trip.

I can't wait for our next adventure!

I've been working on lots of

new designs for an upcoming

craft show.  I love when I get to

paint new designs.  Some are

a bit different than anything

I've ever done.  So excited!

Rylee texted me and asked if "we"

had a Heaven sign in stock.

 One of his teachers was missing

her dad today. How sweet is that!?!

Teenagers can be sweet!

 And I LOVE how he said "we"!

Patiently waiting for

their peppers.

 

This guy finally went for a haircut.

I prefer him ratty and fluffy

so I usually put it off as long

as I can.

Cody got a new drone.

Heidi loves to chase it

and bark at it.  It's hilarious!

Finally colored my hair!

I went red/dark brown and I

love it!  I want to add some

color this summer.  Thought I

should start small first.

KC and Ry spent their

Sunday time together going

for a driving lesson.

Rylee was super nervous!

Super!!!

I told KC we better start now

because he needs all the

practice he can get!

KC said he did pretty good

for his first time.  Only had

a couple of mishaps.

I finally went ahead and

painted one wall in our room

green.  I've wanted to for a

while now.  I did it!

And I love it!

 

Valentine's Day!

We woke up to snow!

The best Valentine's surprise.

The boys have been working on

their citizenship in the community

merit badges.  For Tuesdays

meeting they met with the

city mayor.
