quick trip to the river

We have been getting a little rain

here the past few days.

Rain means the river will be up.

 

We headed to the river so Cody and KC

could give the kayaks a go.

 

 

Kade and Cody also did a run

down the river.

Kade's 15 Birthday

Kade's 15th Birthday!

He asked for grilled pork chops and

all the fixins.

 

 

Most of the grandparents were there

and we just hung out and had a great time.

His first .22 from us.

 

 

They played paintball with friends and family

on the following Sunday.

Weekend Scout Camp

I love him so much!

He's a great dad and spent his

whole weekend with his boys at camp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I spent the weekend alone

with these three.

 

and doing whatever I wanted to!

Outside Projects

Spring is here and all of the outside projects

are under way.  And believe me, there are lots.

 

Fist up... 

 

putting posts in the ground for our

new birdhouses we made.

 

I also decided to take up the ugly green outdoor

carpet from our patio.  Not on the list, but why not.

After my dad came over and power washed

the patio.  He's pretty great.

We had to do lots of fence repairs because

of this bad boy.  He likes to sneak out of the

yard in the middle of the night and roam the

neighborhood.  I'm not sure what all he does

besides roll around in poop.  Ugh!  Hopefully

this will keep him from breaking any more pickets.

While cleaning up the yard we set my bird

mansion down and wouldn't you know!

Copper thought there was something in

there that he really needed.  Ripped it to

shreds on one side.  KC made this for me

the day we put Bailey to sleep to help

cheer me up.  I was sooooo made at Copper!

It is time to plant!

I went a little overboard but I'm

not sad about it one bit!

Gardens are planted too!

Sunday Family Fun Day

We spent our Sunday at the park.

 

Relay races with the boys and one

of Rylee's friends.

 

Then KC tried to show the boys

how climbing the goal post is done.

 

It didn't end well.

 

So the boys tried to show him

how it was done.

 

and they did show him.

 

 

He couldn't just sit there and let them

put him to shame.  So he gave it one more try.

 

 

 

We finished the afternoon with a round of

croquet before KC and Rylee headed off

to a scout patrol meeting.

 

They gave the Suite Escapes a try

at their patrol meeting.

They said it was so much fun!
