Thanksgiving and a Birthday

So I'm home and trying
to get everything back
to normal.  This is what I am
up against!  And I am cooking
and hosting Thanksgiving
dinner this year!

But I did it!
with the help of my boys
and my snookem.

and we were ready for
Thanksgiving!

My Dad was in charge of
the turkey.  And yes, that is
our delicious 2014 Thanksgiving
turkey laying in a pile of
pyrex glass right there on
our driveway!
It slid right out and onto
the ground when he opened
his hatch to get it out.
B.U.M.M.E.R!

but we moved on.
I never eat the turkey anyway.
And honestly, I don't think
anyone missed it.
We had lots of
good delicious food!

I went Black Friday
shopping with KC.
Actually we went
Thursday and he called
it Gray Thursday shopping.
He's so clever.

I got almost all of my
Christmas shopping done
and my house was still
somewhat clean...
so I got to work on
butterfly stuff while
we watched some movies.

We also wanted to take
advantage of the long
Thanksgiving weekend and
go ahead and have Cody's
birthday party.  It was very last
minute, but we knew we just
needed to go ahead and get it done.

Dinner with the grandparents
was up first.  This kid wanted
enchiladas with mashed potatoes
and gravy and tater tot casserole.
Um No!  Try again.
We settled on pop corn chicken
with tater tot casserole and
a nice big salad.
He was happy with that!

and instead of a cookie
cake from the mall he wanted
my coconut cake!
Weirdo!
It was delicious though.

A kid excited about getting
books!  Love it!

He wanted a sleepover
and laser tag.
So that's what we did.

It was pretty fun.
All of the boys loved it.
Actually I am not sure who
loved it more...
the boys or KC.

He had a great time!

Getting Back HOME!

I got back just in time
to see Cody run in the
annual Turkey Run
for his school.  All the
boys from his grade line
up and run a mile around
the field.  First place gets
a turkey.

He didn't win the big turkey
but he worked really hard
and finished somewhere
right in the middle of everyone.

AND I got back just in time for
popcorn delivery!
Lucky me!
We had BOXES and BAGS
of popcorn
EVERYWHERE!
He sold the most he ever
has this year.
VERY PROUD
of our Ry!!!

Bums I tell ya!
Good for nothing
but snuggling!
I love it!

This guy did his first
home science project while
I was gone.
AND made and A!

Week 2 of Round 2

This little girl sure loves
her Minnie Mouse!

It's week 2 of staying with
Aunt Kish.
We are having to get creative!
Landree has grown tired of
my Tinker Bell movies.  lol.
We bought some paint your
own clay dinosaurs.
He just loved them!

I did some Christmas
crafts while he painted dinos.

Rylee's scout group traded
in their regular meeting this
week for wrapping gifts
at Evelyn Rivers.

Lots and Lots
of goodies for the kids
in need from around
our community.

Meanwhile...
I was giving more baths
and playing more toys.

Marley tried to do all he could
to keep KC from putting on his
boots one morning.
I think they were tired of
being home alone all day every day!

We worked long and hard on
these banners. That's a lot of
coloring for Landos little
hands! but he was so proud
to do it.

When we got the
word they were coming home,
we went a bit crazy!
Tab and Jason were ready to
be home!
Landree was ready to see his
mom and dad!
I was ready to be back home
with my boys!
My boys were ready to have
me back home with them!

To be honest the whole trip went way
smoother than I expected.
Landree and Brynlee did so good
with Tab and Jason being gone
so long.  It was so nice
to spend one on one time
with just them.

Weekend fun!

The boys came down to visit
for the weekend.
I'm not sure how long I
will be here and I needed
to see my babies!

Aunt Tab got Cody some
goodies for his birthday.

Talk about a good looking
group of kiddos.

Miss Bryn loved to
talk to her Mom and Dad.

We got out Saturday
and ran around town.
Miss Casey's Christmas Store
is a must do when we
are there around the holidays.

Lunch at Rosas.

Bryn wasn't sure about
the lemon Uncle KC
fed her.

I sure sure sure missed
my snookem!
We were not meant to be apart.
I don't know how we made it
so long with him working out
of town.  I sure hope he doesn't
have to go back out on the road.
I am too used to having him around!

The boys headed home early
because Amarillo got some snow
this morning.  We were hoping
the roads wouldn't be too bad.

Landree asked why Bryn was
taking a bath in the kitchen sink??
Lol.  Because Aunt Kish is
in charge.  I don't know.
Why not?!?

Midland actually got
a few snowflakes too!
Landree was excited.

We stayed warm inside
and baked some cookies.

Kids down - quiet time for me!
The Little Mermaid and some hot tea.
I love this movie!
