Scout Camp

Well, a week at Boy Scout Camp
didn't go so well.  Our little
camper only lasted until Monday
about midnight.  Then we made
the trip to go and pick him up.

I knew it would be rough on
him.  He said he just got too
home sick and didn't sleep at all.

He really needed this camp out,
so we talked him into going back.
He was pretty ok with it.

I drove him back
down Wednesday morning.

He hated the small tiny
A frame tents.
He said there just was no
room in them.

His favorite thing to do was
swimming!  That surprised me.
He is not a great swimmer.

He tested as a non swimmer, but
by the time he left they had him
as an expert beginner.  He said he
was so proud of himself.  :)

The least favorite part was the
sea weed clean up out of the lake.
He said it was soooo gross.
They had to pull several
leaches off of themselves
after they were done.  Yuck!

I think they missed each other!

Seeing what all they can find
in the lake.

Rylee took us on a nature hike.
He showed us poison ivy and
a berry you can eat that tastes
like lemonade.

Our little camper is exhausted and
sunburned and soooo excited to be home!

Time with this Guy

I got to spend lots of time
with this guy this week.

We did lots of lounging.
Cody LOVES Jaws!
He never gets to watch it because
his brothers don't really like it.
So we did a Jaws marathon.
Jaws 1-2-3-4

Look at our garden grow!

Our garden is seriously growing!

We had to add tomato cages to all
four of our tomato plants.

They all have the cutest tiny
green tomatoes growing on them.

All 6 of our pepper plants
have tiny pepper nubs growing.

This jalapeno plant has
2 actual pretty decent peppers
growing on it.  Nothing tastes
better then a home grown pepper!

The strawberry plants are
hanging in there.  We had lots
of pink flowers on them a couple
weeks ago, but not much came out
of them.  If we do get any strawberries
they are no bigger then my finger nail.

We have never had much luck
with strawberries.  I just haven't
found the secret yet.

The carrot sprouts are coming
in nicely.  I hope they do good
in this container.  So far so good
I guess.

Look at our okra!

For being so hard to find,
it sure has grown the best.
I really didn't think we would
find any.  I guess now I need
to start looking for a
pickled okra recipe.  :)

Father's Day Weekend

KC had a Friday off!

We decided to mark off
#26 from our Bucket List.
- Go to some Garage Sales -

Rylee was not impressed with
the old rotary phone we found.
He couldn't believe it took
that long just to type in a
number.  He didn't have
time for that.

KC and Cody decided to try
to do some riding at the river.
I think you could say it was muddy!

We also marked off
Go To The Drive-In.

How To Train Your Dragon 2
I love this series.  My little
Ry is Hiccup!  Especially in
the first one.  Love it!

My little skinny goes to
Boy Scout Camp today.

All Alone!
For 6 Nights!
No Mom - No Dad -
No Nana and Grandpa.

He has never been away alone
for longer then a day or two.

I am not doing very well
with letting him go.

We snuck out while the others
were still asleep and played
some fetch and drank some
hot coco out front.

Father's Day lunch with
our handsome Snook.

And then it was time...

He was really excited to go.

Cody even gave him a hug
and told him he loved him and bye.

He is spending a week with
some of his best friends.
I know they will have so
much fun!

And ending Father's Day
with a little daddy pool
shenanigans.
