Red River Spring Break ~ Day 4

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The boys put on their green
and headed to the slopes.

There is nothing better
than a good mountain rain
shower!  My absolute
Favorite!  I hope this forecast
stays on track.

The rain clouds started coming
in around 3.  I had all the windows
open to let in the chilly breeze.
I made me some hot tea
and read my book until my
little monsters came back.

After skiing we headed for
some beer and burgers at
The Black Diamond Bar and Grill.
Their burgers are sooo delicious!
The boys and I stuck to water
but KC had a green beer to
toast out our St. Patrick's Day.

Red River Spring Break ~ Day 3

The boys headed to the
slopes today.  That left me plenty
of time to do some projects
I have wanted to do.

First time on the ski lift
for Cody since he got the
short end of the stick last
time with his ski school.
He spent just a couple of hours
with KC this morning and
was ready to hit the slopes.

Cody is the selfie king.
I guess not really selfies.
He loves taking pictures
with just you and him.

The boys found a fort at the
top of the mountain.

Breath Taking!

Rylee was exhausted and
ended his day about an
hour and half earlier then
everyone else.  The others
explored some new trails and
found Moonstar Mining Camp.

Some quiet time fishing
after a busy day of skiing.

KC and I enjoyed the fire
while the boys were fishing
and the pups were exploring.

Smores before dinner.
Why not!

I taught the boys and the
husband how to play
Old Maid.  How in the
heck do they not know how!

We ended our day with
a movie and puppy snuggles.

Until tomorrow...

Red River Spring Break ~ Day 2

Another
BEAUTIFUL
sunrise!

We got up early and went
for a very adventurous hike.

Kade stepped on a sheet
of ice and it broke into the
shape of a heart.

We had to cross this frozen
pond.  All the boys loved
it.  I think it was really a
death trap!  I almost died
crossing it.

I was not walking back over
the "frozen" pond! so KC
made us a bridge.

My Handsome Snookem!

After breakfast we headed
to Lake Cabresta to check it out
and do some sledding.

Copper ran up the trails while
the boys were sledding.

The lake looked frozen enough.
The boys were dying to
step on it.  Rylee wanted to
sled down the hill so he could
slide out to the middle.
Um No!

They settled for a
snowball fight instead.

I tried to stay out of the
way.  It didn't last long.

Cops ate some more
snowballs.

The boys talked KC
into taking them to
The Playhouse.
Skating seemed to be
a challenge.  A hilarious
challenge it looks like.

The kitchen table just
happened to be the warmest
most sunniest spot
for Marley to lay.
Who cares if we were
in the middle of a card game.

Some Harry Potter Clue
and Hotel Transylvania
before bed.  We had a busy day!
