Some more things off the list

Crossed off a few more things from
our Summer Bucket List!

We LOVE the Drive In
in the summer time!
We all loaded in the truck
for $10 a car load night.  Not
bad for 5 of us to see a brand
new movie for 10 bucks total.
The movie was Men In Black 3.

#2 Go to the Drive-In

The boys love to swim at
night.  I don't know why,
because it is so cold to me.
They always beg to do it, so
last night we let them.
The temp was only 66
and I don't think it made it
out of the 70's yesterday.
Freezing cold water!
AND they loved it!

My snook made me a fire.
That's how chilly it was.

# 62 - Go for a night swim

The boys decided we needed to
do a "chopped" challenge.
They each picked 2 ingredients
for KC and I to cook dinner with.
Whoever cooked the best meal
was the winner.

Our ingredients were:
Watermelon
Boy Scout Popcorn
Tomato Soup
Bay Leaves
Red Grapefruit
Mango Jam

We could also use whatever
from the fridge or pantry.
BUT we HAD to use each
of the 6 things they picked.

I already had my soup going
and KC was still trying to figure
out what the heck to make.

The boys watched every move
we made.  Cody was even the
commentator.  He kept giving a play
by play.

"and nobody has used the watermelon"
and
"Ohhhh, Mama is the first one
 to use the Mango Jam"

It was so funny.

I went with Ham and Mango Jam
grilled sandwiches, Tomato soup
shooters, and my watermelon was
cut into a little weenie dog.
My dessert was the popcorn
drizzled in white chocolate and
Hershey syrup.

 KC went very Gourmet Chef.
He made pasta with Chicken
that he cooked in a Mango Jam
and Tomato Soup sauce.  His watermelon
was stacked like a fort with Bay Leaf
flags.  The popcorn was sprinkled
with cheese powder.

The judges ate both meals
and made us go in our room
while they discussed everything.
It was a very serious process.

Of course the winner was...

ME!!!  How can you go wrong
with Chocolate covered popcorn
and watermelon shaped like
weenie dogs?

We had a pretty big mess
with 2 people trying to cook
at the same time.  My kitchen isn't
that big.  BUT it was so worth it!
We all had a great time!
