Austin Road Trip

Our road trip to Austin started
with a detour to Guymon, OK
for a couple of days in the camper.

We passed through one of the towns
KC grew up in and he decided to
check out his old house.
Is it crazy that it sat on the
corner of Goodnight and Comanche
and we as a married couple
have owned a house on Goodnight
and a house on Comanche in
a completely different town.
I think that is pretty crazy.

We spent 2 days just
hanging out in the camper.
AND IT WAS WONDERFUL!
Lazy nothing to do days.
We watched lots of  Netflix
and ordered in sushi several times.

It made for a longer trip to Austin
but it was my favorite part of
the whole trip!

Before we headed to Austin
KC got a few lottery tickets
and I won 50 BUCKS!
I never win.  Never.
Not even a dollar!
This was a great day!!!

We also stopped at a farm stand.
along the way.  Oh My Gosh!
The peaches and cantaloupes
were to die for!!

Lando took us to the duck
pond our first morning there.
He taught KC some fishing tricks.

The second day we got out
to explore the town on our own.
We thought it was only right
that we stop by to see the capital.

It was a lot bigger than I thought
it would be and so gorgeous.
The park it sat in was nice too.
Lots of big green trees.

Cody would love all the statues!
We will have to bring the boys
by next time.

We searched this crazy town
for the place I wanted to eat lunch
at.  It ended up being closed
for construction once we got
there so we continued our search.

This sign made me laugh!

We ended up at Lanberts BBQ
when a friend suggested it.
It was so yummy!

We got lost in some downtown
shopping by our restaurant.
We found the greatest little small
town toy shop!
Even marked off several
Christmas presents.

And then just like that we were
back home.

And this girl missed her dad.
