Thanksgiving and a Birthday

So I'm home and trying
to get everything back
to normal.  This is what I am
up against!  And I am cooking
and hosting Thanksgiving
dinner this year!

But I did it!
with the help of my boys
and my snookem.

and we were ready for
Thanksgiving!

My Dad was in charge of
the turkey.  And yes, that is
our delicious 2014 Thanksgiving
turkey laying in a pile of
pyrex glass right there on
our driveway!
It slid right out and onto
the ground when he opened
his hatch to get it out.
B.U.M.M.E.R!

but we moved on.
I never eat the turkey anyway.
And honestly, I don't think
anyone missed it.
We had lots of
good delicious food!

I went Black Friday
shopping with KC.
Actually we went
Thursday and he called
it Gray Thursday shopping.
He's so clever.

I got almost all of my
Christmas shopping done
and my house was still
somewhat clean...
so I got to work on
butterfly stuff while
we watched some movies.

We also wanted to take
advantage of the long
Thanksgiving weekend and
go ahead and have Cody's
birthday party.  It was very last
minute, but we knew we just
needed to go ahead and get it done.

Dinner with the grandparents
was up first.  This kid wanted
enchiladas with mashed potatoes
and gravy and tater tot casserole.
Um No!  Try again.
We settled on pop corn chicken
with tater tot casserole and
a nice big salad.
He was happy with that!

and instead of a cookie
cake from the mall he wanted
my coconut cake!
Weirdo!
It was delicious though.

A kid excited about getting
books!  Love it!

He wanted a sleepover
and laser tag.
So that's what we did.

It was pretty fun.
All of the boys loved it.
Actually I am not sure who
loved it more...
the boys or KC.

He had a great time!
